The service cycle of Pu disk has three cycles, and the middle period (generally 60-300d) is the best period for PU disk. Just because the Pu disc gradually becomes smooth after wear for a period of time, the friction with the wire is moderate, the twisting effect is good, the damage to the wire is small, and the processing tension is appropriate. This stage is the best period of DTY.

In the later stage of use (generally 300-400d), the friction loss on the working surface of Pu disc intensifies and the friction coefficient decreases. The wear of disc increases the wrap angle between fiber and friction disc, reduces the twisting effect on silk, increases the processing tension, and the elongation and dyeing first-class product rate begin to decline.

The long-term storage of unused Pu discs will also affect their service life, because the long-term contact with air, especially light, will aggravate the aging speed.
